Saturday 23 November sees FORREST RUN take to the stage at The Imperial Hotel Eumundi to launch their self-titled 5 track debut EP. It also just happens to be vocalist AYLA's birthday that day, so this gig is sure to be a one helluva hoot! They will be supported by CHRISTIAN PATEY.

Consisting of hip-hop producer Judah Winnett, electronic folk instrumentalist Jayke Barnes and indie pop vocalist Ayla Forrest Run are bringing the best of their worlds together, in an exciting new project.

They are an intriguing fusion of styles, stemming from the individuals' musical backgrounds.

The trio spent 2018 refining a live set, and working on their debut EP, with the help of renowned producer Tim Carr (Matt Corby, Urthboy, Le Pie and many more). Their first two releases (‘All We Needed’ and ‘Let Me Fall’) both scored rotation on Triple J Unearthed radio, and reviews highlighting their smart production twists, Ayla’s flawless vocal and the sense of everyday drama in the lyrics.

Their third single ‘Summer’ dropped in June, and has already featured on Apple Music’s ‘Best of the Week’ playlist. The electronic production has a captivating chilled out and summery atmosphere, with rich textures, sun-soaked guitar riffs and atmospheric touches.

Forrest Run have also supported Boo Seeka and recently performed at Caloundra Music Festival.

Supporting on the night, Christian Patey…

The euphoric sights and sounds one associates with the Australian Sunshine Coast could easily be likened to the dreamily soulful music produced by one of its most captivating artists, Christian Patey.

Christian Patey has been joining forces with electronic producers from across the world to create a new, effortlessly cool sound for himself.

The one man band that is infused with electric guitar, synths, samples and drums together illuminates the room and takes the listener on an uplifting and feel good journey.

He has collaborated with UK beat-maker Alabaster, well known Brisbane lads Yes You, Jimmy2sox (one half of Flight Facilities), landed a vocal sample/production on Rae Sremmurd's upcoming album Sr3MM' and also had his vocals sampled on PartyNextDoor's album PX3.

Christian's single 'Is This Real' premiered on Triple J and was added to rotation on Double J, followed by two other singles ‘High’ and ‘Can't Get Enough’, which both played continually on Triple J Unearthed.

Following a release of ‘Safe To Say You’re Free’ produced by Jimmy2sox, Christian played in support and at festivals with Tash Sultana, Boo Seeka and Tijuana Cartel.

He recently joined forces once again with renowned Brisbane electronic producer Steve Thornely to produce his latest single 'Better Way'.
