Eliza and The Delusionals 'Give You Everything' with glossy new indie pop single.

Breaking down the door of a brand new year, Eliza & The Delusionals return in 2022 excitedly anticipating their busiest chapter yet. The band has shared their new single ‘GIVE YOU EVERYTHING’, the next teaser of their highly anticipated debut album, Now And Then, out this May.

The single is another flawless production from Eliza & The Delusionals, who have consistently been proving themselves as a group with longevity and legacy quality to their name.

Bubbling with 80s aesthetic, and blending in 90s alt/indie qualities, ‘Give You Everything’ is poppy, while still maintaining an alternative edge. Soft synths provide the dreamy bed for the track, which echo Eliza Klatt’s vocal delivery, and the guitars, bass and drums seamlessly mould together, instead of fighting for audio space. ‘Give…’, much like their earlier take, ‘YOU’ could easily cement Eliza & The Delusionals as the Frente! of the 20s; at the forefront of indie-pop in Australia.

Effervescent and striking a gorgeous balance between the contemporary and nostalgic, Eliza & The Delusionals spent 2021 proving that an unpredictable world climate wouldn’t stop their creative hustle.

As with the rest of the Now And Then record, ‘Give You Everything’ was recorded between Brisbane’s Airlock Studios, and the studios of acclaimed producer Kon Kersting (Tones And I, Mallrat, The Jungle Giants) and also that of Eliza Klatt and Kurt Skuse.

The song itself was written between sessions in Los Angeles with award winning songwriters Sarah Aarons (Zedd, The Rubens, Childish Gambino) and John Hill (Cage The Elephant, Lykke Li, Charli XCX), and back home on the Australian East Coast. ‘Give You Everything’, in its rhythmic progressions and bright emotional swells, provided an opportunity for Eliza and Kurt’s songwriting flair to this international session dynamic.

“Myself and Eliza wrote this song with Sarah Aarons and John Hill when we were in LA at the start of 2020. We were sitting around John’s studio talking with Sarah about how we both have had similar bitter experiences within the music industry with certain people taking advantage of our benevolence.

It was nice to be able to open up to someone who could also relate to that situation which made the whole writing process feel really natural and organic. It’s a collective favourite for us on the album and it really shaped the rest of the record thematically and sonically,” says Kurt

Of the release of the album Now And Then, Eliza & The Delusionals are amped to finally have this special collection of music out into the world.

Eliza said that the album was the best thing to come out of the pandemic for them.

“We had just dealt with a huge loss of all of our touring in America, and when we got back to Australia we both were feeling quite lost and sad. We took the opportunity to build a studio at home and bunker down and turn all of the feelings that we had been experiencing for the past two years into songs,” she said.

June 2021 saw Eliza & The Delusionals tour alongside The VANNS, with rescheduled remaining dates set to take place across March and April this year. The release of ‘Give You Everything’ comes as Eliza & The Delusionals prepare to embark on their rescheduled 2022 headline tour, starting at The Leadbeater in Melbourne this April. The release of Now And Then also coincides with the band’s return to North America, performing at this year’s Bottlerock Festival in the Napa Valley.
