Sydney's Morgan Houston serves up glossy synth pop anthem in 'Shower Talk'
Sydney-based Indie Pop star, Morgan Houston brings an empowering pop anthem in her new infectious single, ‘Shower Talk’. Heavy on the sparkling synths, it is a track written for those trying to navigate their way through the messy world of dating.
‘Shower Talk’ is glossy, heartbreak pop, drenched in synths, bold & brash drums, and huge vocals from Morgan, who pulls back just enough in the verses for some breathing space, before dialling it up for the choruses. It’s super-sticky sweet synth-pop, with the big moments make you want to dance unabashedly in the living room, and pour every ounce of your soul into singing along with Morgan.
Of the song, Morgan says it is about remembering your self-worth in messy situations.
“Shower Talk is my fun, upbeat self-empowerment anthem. I wanted to write a pop song that had an addictive and powerful energy, one where you can sit on your bedroom floor nursing a broken heart whilst still feeling like a bad bitch,” she said.
Morgan released her debut EP called ‘Glow Up’ last year, which received positive coverage from Australian music media. The lead singles ‘Killing Me’ and ‘Not Quite Yet’ gained airplay on over 50 Australian radio stations, helping to cement Morgan’s place as a staple in the Australian Pop music scene.
New single ‘Shower Talk’ is available on all major online stores and streaming services.
