In2nation bring us all together in ska-tinged harmony with brand new single, 'Life'
The Sunny Coast’s agents of groove and funk, In2nationN have risen from a musical slumber, emerging with a full-pelt fun ska/funk track in ‘Life’.
Not ones to shy away from their tried-and -true funk formula, ‘Life’ sees vocalist Michael Wallace utilising his rhythmic flows to full extent, backed by guitar skanks, a full, fat bass line, infectious and intricate beats from the percussive duo of Brett Lanes and Sean Keenan, and a soulful-yet-blasting horn line. The rolling intro with the hooky ‘na na na’ line (which, in true In2natioN form, is a sneaky, catchy little melodic tool) sets the pace for the rest of the track, which holds nothing back.
Of the track, Michael says the high energy ska-inspired track asks the simple question, ‘Why can’t we all get along?’
“Life is a big thing! There’s so much going on all the time! How many times have you been left dumbfounded as the world around us? That… is what inspires this track,” he said.
Their last release, the full album, ‘Ground Up’ came out in 2014, and preparation for ‘Life’ (and more tracks to follow with the release of the upcoming EP) started in 2017. One normally wouldn’t expect an EP to take five years to see fruition, but as it does, life gets in the way.
However, 2022 will finally see ‘The Life EP’ be released.
Recorded, mixed and mastered at The Vault Studio by Dave Harper, with bassist Quizmical teaming up on production duties, you’ll only be able to wrap your ears around this new track via In2nation’s bandcamp.
‘Life’ is out now.
