Big Blue Eyes hits out with single number three, ‘Shoelaces’ which gives further insight into the artist’s full length debut album due out mid-2021.

The solo recording project of Ryan Smart, Big Blue Eyes floored us with previous single, ‘Japan’, and the latest offering shows off a tender song that explores the feeling associated with a lover leaving you for someone else.

A heavily emotional track, drenched in reverb, dusty drums, and swirling guitars the begin to bite when the chorus kicks in, ‘Shoelaces’ is deeply immersed in Beatles and Pink Floyd territory, with a brush of psychedelia over the top.

Big Blue Eyes has been racking up the live shows (since they’ve been back) in support of the releases leading up to the debut album, including supports with Concrete Surfers, Kuripla Reach, and Big Dinner.

Be sure to catch Big Blue Eyes supporting Christian Patey at Solbar on May 14.
