NEW RELEASE - Rachel Koster warms the heart with new single, 'Table'
‘Table’ is the latest offering by Brisbane-based singer-songwriter Rachel Koster; an initially unplanned single, released in response to the current pandemic.
A song about longing, loyalty and gratitude, Rachel says that it’s a track which she felt was timely and relevant, and ‘it kind of tugged at the sleeve over the past year to be put out in to the world prior to any of the other tracks I have in mind.’
‘Table’ was written in the kitchen of Rachel’s Grandmother’s house, where the artist wrote one rainy night, with a loudly ticking clock becoming the metronome, helping the song to emerge.
Rachel said that the ballad was later recorded at the start of a writing session with long-term collaborator Stuart Fraser (Noiseworks), who sadly passed away in late 2019.
‘We plugged straight in to the laptop and recorded it on the spot, and I added the harmonies on the same day’, she said.
Although the song was initially about a special someone, the songstress said that ‘over the past year it changed in meaning to become about a heart-full of special people, which is why I thought others would relate to it.’
‘Table’ is out now, and available on all digital platforms.
