Sydney's Pearl debuts 'Honeymoon Suite' - a catchy single with bouncy 80s vibes

Sydney-based alt-pop artist, Pearl brings the bouncy 80s vibes with her infectious debut single, ‘Honeymoon Suite’.

Cue all the 80s pop-funk guitars, Numan-esque synths, a touch of slap bass (hidden under the synth bass), and that cowbell, all underneath Pearl’s effortless, cheeky vocal delivery. ‘Honeymoon Suite’ imbues all the fun 80s music cliches - almost to the point it could easily slot in as a montage theme in a John Hughes classic.

Of the song, Pearl states that it is about the romance dying in a relationship.

"Once you take those rose coloured glasses off you realise you’ve invested in a human that didn’t deserve you and all you want is your money back."

Pearl (formerly Pearl The Girl) creates an alluring brand of Pop music that will weave its way into your auditory cortex.

Over the past few years, Pearl has been releasing music under the moniker Pearl The Girl. She supported the likes of Pete Murray and Sloan Peterson, whilst touring around the world with artists such as Dune Rats and Wicked Things.

Feeling like she had outgrown her sound, Pearl recently entered the studio to create an entirely new musical project from scratch.

Debut single ‘Honeymoon Suite’ is available on all major online stores now.
