Byron Bay-based artist, Seph Cove returns with fragile-but-grand new single, 'Sirens'
In a moment of timely reflection, Melbourne born, Byron based Seph Cove releases his visceral and blooming new single ‘Sirens'.
Led by acoustic guitar and Seph’s sublime vocal delivery, the ‘Sirens’ deepens after the first third of the track, with echoing drums, and the comfort of strummed mandolins, before the full band kicks in. It’s quite a journey, going from fragile, through to grand production.'Sirens' is fevered with ruminative energy and dances the fine line between hopeful & hurting.
Delving into the personal regrets of Seph, 'Sirens' captures a time when his mind was so preoccupied with future desires he overlooked what was already there. "When I finally thought about my life in the present, what was good was now gone," explains Seph.
Ready now to share the manifestation of his time in retreat, his new single 'Sirens' was produced, mixed and mastered by Tim Bettinson of Vancouver Sleep Clinic in partnership with audio engineer, Luke Jenkins. This latest track is also the crowning first release from Seph's soon to be announced sophomore EP.
Known for his honest and open storytelling, Seph has received a great deal of support behind his previous release 'Falling' which landed on Spotify's New Music Friday. Subsequently leading him to play a variety of sold-out hometown shows as the headliner and supported fellow singer-songwriter Budjerah on his sold-out Melbourne shows.
From start to finish, Seph Cove's 'Sirens' is a welcomed moment of perspective. The perfect beginning to his next chapter.
‘Sirens’ is out everywhere now.
