Look, we’d be lying if we told you we haven’t been patiently waiting for Sunny Coast trio, Fat Pony to finally bring a single out.

Friends, today is that day, with the new track coming hot from Big Rock Studio.

Debut single, ‘Sweater’ has a lo-fi slacker swagger to it, reminiscent of early 90s alt/indie sounds that you’d see playing on Recovery. There’s just a hint of crunch to the guitar, and the rhythm section shifts between slight jungle toms, to a steady rock beat. Loving the the sprinkle of keys in the pre-chorus as well.

But what got us when we first saw them live is those harmonies. And damn right they’re present. The chorus is kinda like sipping on an espresso martini while on a blind date with someone you haven’t background checked - it’s a sweet, smooth moment, but there’s this underlying feeling of something sinister… but you LIKE it.

Obscure analogy, we know. Bonus points for having the song for for 4:20.

Just have a listen to the single, go give Fat Pony some love on their socials, and patiently wait for the next single to drop.
