Dubarray’s new single ‘Rise and Fall’ delicately weaves idyllic soundscapes with a sense of resolve. A tribute to the band’s love for Queensland’s Heron Island, Dubarray’s latest offering carries the listener into clear blue oceans and melting sunsets. A testament to the band’s evolving electronic sound, ‘Rise and Fall’ is driven by a dub-groove baseline, and is characteristically lifted and complimented by high vibrations, layers of atmospheric vocals, and mesmerising melody.

An honest offering, ‘Rise and Fall’ reflects the beauty of nature. It inspires, transpires, and uplifts.

The single is reminiscent of Dubarray’s humble beginnings on their first album, ‘Ebb and Flow’, but contains the added breadth of their growth and experience both as a band, and through their own personal journeys of change and awakening.

According to Dubarray’s Brett Gadenne, the single is inspired by the band’s frequent trips to Queensland’s beautiful Heron Island.

“Rise and Fall represents our gratitude and awe for the magic of our experiences at Heron,” Gadenne says.

“It’s a tribute to those adventures and our falling in love with such a beautiful part of the world. It’s about creating opportunities to enjoy moments with loved ones, while recharging in the beauty of nature. It was Heron Island’s stunning Wistari Reef that inspired our daughter’s name, Wistari. It’s a very special place”.

A journey of its own, ‘Rise and Fall’ is a chilled and time-stopping track. It weaves itself into Dubarray’s 7- year journey that has seen them carve a niche for the conscious listener and build a strong following, carrying them onto global stages and into world-class venues. But they are just as comfortable barefoot in small and intimate settings where soulful connections are formed, and sonic journeys transform and unite. They’re creating new waves in these more intimate spaces and ‘prana sessions’, where they are weaving sound healing and yoga to create new experiences for their listeners. They have toured extensively through Europe and Australia and have garnered a swag of festival appearances at Splendour in the Grass, Luminate, Woodford Folk Festival, Earth Frequency and many more.

Dubarray are excited to extend a warm invitation to experience ‘Rise and Fall’, the latest musical addition to their journey thus far and look forward to sharing this latest release, and their much-loved high-energy vibes, with fans at upcoming shows.

Catch Dubarray at DUSK Festival on June 16 at Venue 114 (Bokarina) with The Moonsets, and SoLar.
