Hobo Magic Say Hooroo Before Relocation To Europe

IMG_5276.JPG

The only real solution for an Australian Psych Rock act who's achieved all they can nationally, in an environment not conducive to Rock'n'Roll, is to move to Europe... and this is just what underground riff lords Hobo Magic are doing after years of playing festivals, capacity tour shows and supporting pretty much every Psych/Stoner band of note who've to this country in the last five years.

Tagged by the Sydney Morning Herald as being "at the forefront of the underground scene", the Sunshine Coast power trio are loading up the wagon one last time (for now) to venture up and down the East Coast on the back of the 'Hooroo Tour', a chance for Hobo's legion of fans to catch them one last time before a lengthy overseas stint.

The Australian Psych/Stoner scene has thrived of late with bands such as Hobo Magic leading the charge nationally whilst at the same time inspiring new generations of groove merchants to rise through the ranks of their local scene and hit the national stage. This is evident at the ground level if you're actually in these rooms, amongst this scene, but is it replicated/supported nationally? If not, why not?

“I never know what to expect, I never know where they will take me but I know it will be a spiritual journey to the absolute soul of rock and roll…” PBS FM

Hobo Magic, under Beats Cartel, have had an extremely full two years, introducing their 5th national tour, debut album release and single releases from a soon-to-be-released follow up album, touring Japan and New Zealand, landing a European distribution deal with Kozmik Artifactz/Cargo, playing major festivals including Falls Festival, Big Pineapple Music Festival, Dead of Winter and Mojo Burning. The band have supported all the giants of US and European Psych/Stoner Rock over the last few years including Earthless, Red Fang, Radio Moscow, The Sword, Elder, Kadavar and many more which begs the move to greener pastures more supportive of their craft overseas.

Connor Mitchell, guitarist/vocalist in Hobo Magic says of the upcoming farewell “With our sights set on the groove annihilation of Europe in 2019 we have decided to embark on an epic last tour of Australia before we head over the pond. We have lined up some almighty shows and are joined by some almighty bands so its guaranteed to be a wild ride! See all you legends at a show for one last groove!"

Hobo Magic line up alongside an awesome stack of Australian bands including Tumbleweed, The Vasco Era, Dr Colossus, Fluff, Fight Ibis and Greece's 1000mods as part of their bon voyage adventure. Catch the band through NSW, VIC and QLD this March/April for one more roll of the dice before the conquering of the European festival circuit begins.

Catch Hobo Magic one more time around Australia before they say 'hooroo' and head over to Europe to conquer new markets. We've been advised that the boys are ready to party!

Proudly supported by Beats Cartel and Southern Comfort Black
