NEW RELEASE - Big Whoops release 'Virtuous & Vile' EP

Hot damn, Big Whoops have had a big year, and we’d be lying if we said we hadn’t been eagerly hanging for this EP.

The trio have delivered a hot slab of heavy, grungy rock, and you can feel the sweat pouring out while listening to ‘Virtuous & Vile’ - 5 huge tracks to drill into your brain.

From the eerily abrasive ‘Haunt Me Out’ (which has some brief Type O Negative moments before becoming a complete ball-tearer) through to the flat-out ruckus of ‘A Brief Reprieve’ , and the slightly poppier ‘What If?’, Big Whoops deliver mood swings like a sledgehammer to the face.

Earlier single, ‘Criminal’ cuts straight to the chase and brings in some At The Drive-In moments, frantically changing pace, and bringing thick, frantic drums, and throat-tearing vocals. This is still our favourite track from Big Whoops, hands down.

And there’s nothing quite like an anthemic closer on an EP, which ‘Old & Faithful’ could easily be THAT sing-along.
