Phil Barlow goes on a 'True Evolution' on 3rd Studio Album. Out November 6th.
Following a 15-date house concert tour along the East Coast earlier this year supporting latest single “Sweet Sunrise”, Phil is now set to release his 3rd studio album, “True Evolution” on November 6th with album launches on the Sunshine Coast (The Yurt, Nov 9) and the Gold Coast (Dust Temple, Nov 17).
The title track, “True Evolution” is a heart-opening song where Phil illuminates the limits of living from the mind, and the richness of living authentically from the heart. Through sharing his personal reflections, he encourages others to take off the filter and the image of what we think others want to see and to just be ourselves.
Formerly the frontman of energetic festival band “Phil Barlow and The Wolf”, with two previous albums and over 300 band shows under his belt, he has since undergone a deep transformation as a person and as an artist.
He now shares his most authentic self as a solo artist, inspiring others and connecting community through his intimate style shows. The Sunshine Coast launch will be held in a Mongolian Yurt in Eumundi, the perfect setting to bring to life the essence of this new album. People can expect an intimate, vulnerable journey of growth and change through his music, presence and poetry.
In the lead up to this album release, Phil’s debut single since going solo, “In My Heart” was premiered on Triple J Roots n’ All in August 2018 and launched to a full house at Burleigh Masonic Hall. He then released soulful track “Waiting For You” with strong support from community radio Australia-wide, and had his first book published, “The Poetry Of Healing: Pain to Peace”.
With a growing grass roots following in his new Coolum home-base, and having found his element during the “Sweet Sunrise” East Coast House Concert Tour, Phil is excited to release the new album “True Evolution” along with a new official music video.
