She’s a little bit bluegrass, a touch of hillbilly and a whole lotta alt-country. A beautiful 5-headed Americana music beast, BEARDED BETTY hails from Queensland's Sunshine Coast.

At just one year young, the band have totally hit the ground running playing many live music venues on the Sunshine Coast & Brisbane.

The band features the unique, quirky voice of vocalist Gussy, with influences from Perch Creek, The Long Johns, The East Pointers, The Dead South, Truck Stop Honeymoon and a whole lot of other fabulous folk. They deliver fun original tunes, remastered versions of obscure covers plus some old classics.

Bearded Betty are excited to be releasing their debut EP in Gussy’s home town of Yandina at the SMALL HALL HILLBILLY BALL this Saturday May 26 from 6pm at THE SHARED.

Joined on the night by Jimmy Bay Hall, Suga Owens & the Necessaries, Uncle Bob’s Jug Band & The Hillbilly Goats it’s sure to be a shenanigans not to be missed.

You can bet your britches BEARDED BETTY will get the hillbilly part of your heart pumpin’ so hard that you will want to go build yourself a front porch.
