Pete Allan Collective invite you to join in their 'Summer Holiday'
At its core, the Pete Allan Collective shares the same heart and soul as Pete's trademark solo sound of coastal roots rock. But the addition of Daniel Seese (drums) and Josiah Chapman (keys) has allowed for new and exciting sonic elements that have taken the talented songwriter's music to the next level. Moody and smooth, Summer Holiday is the first taste of the new band, and a perfect introduction – displaying all of the sophistication and nuance that can be produced by the Pete Allan Collective.
"Sipping bottles by the beach, watching moonrise over sea", entreats Pete in Summer Holiday. His invitation summons the inner troubadour, beckoning us to leave our day to day monotony and escape on an adventure. Enticing like a siren, the band create a perfect musical backdrop that is equal parts silky smooth and smoky. Something mysterious, yet warming and familiar. Undulating in gentle waves, the song is a perfect intersection of mellow grooves, ambient guitars and heartfelt vocals.
A native of the Sunshine Coast hub of Noosa, there has always been a natural relationship between Pete Allan's music and the ocean. Pete's blend of effortlessly cool vocals and hypnotic, swaying rhythms are the musical epitome of the paradise he grew up in. Beautifully produced by Paulie B at Yama-Nui, Summer Holiday has arrived just in time for the warmer months. To celebrate its release, the Pete Allan Collective will be hitting the road to share new songs – taking the band across Nth Qld, WA and NSW on a true summer holiday.
