This week is ridiculously huge
And people STILL SAY nothing happens on the Sunshine Coast.
Pffft to that, we say... PFFFT to that.
Have a look at this ridiculously huge first week of June -
On Thursday night, our adopted Sydney gypsies, Caravãna Sun return to the Coast with a brand new single, as part of a ultra-massive tour (as they do). They'll be playing Solbar with TOISOC and Humblet.
On Friday night, buzz boys, BUGS play Solbar with Big Whoops and Fragile Animals, as part of their 'Social Slump EP' Tour.
On Saturday, take your pick. Sea N Sound Festival takes over Mooloolaba with Paul Kelly, Kingswood, Harts, The Pierce Brothers, Gretta Ray, The Sea Gypsies, William Bloom, Jesse Taylor, Brad Schultz, and CRVKS.
Groovestock 2 comes to Palmwoods Memorial Hall and brings ALL the psych rock/alt rock/grunge/punk/heavy rock you could take for $25, with Hobo Magic, Dunies' prodigies - Pandamic, ZONG, The Royal Artillery, Machine Machine, The Unknowns, Not To Regret, Moose Knuckle, Belligerent Goat, Muules, No Intelligent Life (NIL), and Absolem. Woah.
AND if that's not enough, Port Royal come to Solbar as part of their Rock N Roll is Dead Tour, with Big Whoops (backing up their Friday night slot) and Rugged Coast.
And as a way to cap off your weekend, Peregian Originals returns with a massive free line-up featuring The Sea Gypsies, Flaskas, Mantis Empire, and Marshall Boys all at Peregian Beach Park from 1pm.
But yeah nah, nothing happens on the Sunshine Coast, hey?
