Our winners at this year's Queensland Music Awards

Last night's Queensland Music Awards saw a massive gathering of Queensland talent taking home a swathe of awards, and celebrating our own state-made music.

The big winners of the night were Amy Shark and Jeremy Neale, and while our nominated Coast-based acts didn't come home with the awards, two outstanding Coast music icons did.

A huge congratulations to Solbar for taking home the Regional Venue of the Year Award.  Solbar have been long-standing supporters of original live music, and also nurture careers of up-and-coming acts that gone on to bigger things.

A well done, too, to Big Pineapple Music Festival.  The 7-year-old event took home the Festival of the Year award, up against such juggernauts as Woodford Folk Festival, Caloundra Music Festival and more.  A big win for the festival that continues to be sell-out event.
