Sunshine Coast Music News, October 5 2017

A massive congrats to the Caloundra Music Festival team/vollies and artists for another year done. Amazing turn out, good weather (for most part), and quality acts.
This weekend's looking good too, so let's get some upcoming shows out of the way - tonight Sarah McLeod (The Superjesus) will be at Solbar.  Also, check The Shared's open mic (hosted by Mufassa) tonight... looks like there could be a good crew of local musos milling about.
Tomorrow night, Wild Marmalade, Dubarray, and SoLar playing Solbar. Also check PC & the Biffs on the Saturday night for some rockabilly goodness.
The Basement in Nambour will be celebrating their 1st birthday on Friday night, bringing together The Hi-Boys, The Unknowns, and Suga Owens for a helluva party.
Peregian Originals returns once again this Sunday as well, with David Flower Band, Rachel by the Stream, Jason Daniels Band, and Lily Taloola kicking off from 1pm.
Keep your eyes peeled this month for the official Woodford Folk Festival artist announcement as well. This usually pops up around mid-month, and we're super keen to see what they have in store for us.
New releases to wrap your ears (and eyeballs) around-
Dubarray's new one, sees them teaming up with Murray Kyle for 'Luminate Our Soul'.  You can stream that on Soundcloud here.  It's actually a drum n bass remix of their track 'Amber Sun' (which was more down tempo).
Those ratbags, The Chats have chucked up a track (and a pretty classic, low-budget clip) to the track, 'Smoko'.  Dare you not to get this stuck in your head.  Listen/watch it here.
Taylor Moss has dropped a new single and film clip (nicely shot, too) in 'Bittersweet'.  You can watch/listen to that one here.
Three-piece alt/rock outfit, Muules, revealed themselves to the world with a demo of a track, 'Disillusioned', along with an accompanying film clip.  You can stream the track here, and watch the clip here.  It's reported that they are currently in the studio tracking their official release. More news on that when we know more.
And roots gurus, Bearfoot released a clip to their current single, 'Crazy For You', featuring a tonne of footage of shenanigans from their last East Coast tour.
And those legends in Band of Frequencies have come out with an absolute gem of a clip with 'Making It Happen'.  So trippy.  Watch it here.
