Sunshine Coast Music News, Nov 9 2016

A big congratulations to Originals Festival on another successful year. Bring it on again next year! Next festival coming up will be HOME Gathering, which we've just noticed has now SOLD OUT. Lucky punters will get to experience a mixture of live acts (Bearfoot, All Strings Attached, Ryan Delaney & the Weary Eyes, Dub Zoo), and EDM artists Grouch, Hugo & Treats, Willow Beats and more on November 19 in a secluded hinterland setting.
Also, smaller festivals coming up to keep an eye out on on the Sunshine Coast will be the Queensland International Reggae & Ska Festival to be held at Mooloolaba Yacht Club on November 20, and Groovestock, brought to you by those legendary Smash Brothers, at the Sunshine Coast Brewery on November 26 (featuring Hobo Magic, Fight Ibis, Fish Milkshake, Los Laws and more).
Visiting the Coast for shows this week will be The Delta Riggs (Solbar on Saturday), Phil Barlow & the Wolf (Solbar on Friday night), The Short Fall, Adam Hole Band (Palmwoods on Saturday) and more.  As always, head to the Gigs page for more shows and details.
Also, Peregian Originals' second last event for the year will feature Dubarray, Jimmy Watts Band, Hailey Calvert Trio, and Dan Horne this coming Sunday.
Perennial favourites of the Coast, The Flumes have just announced they are changing their name. They will be now know as 'The Moonsets'. The trio have been cooking up new tunes, so we're keen to hear what they have coming.
It's coming into Festive season, and special events will start to appear on the Coast. One that just popped up is the Maleny Christmas Festival & Street Carnival, to be held on December 9, with performances from Whiskey & Me, Dan Horne, Oskar Campbell, Jenny Fitzgibbon & Jeremy Dunlop, Malia Stirling, Demi Casha, and Larry & Mal. Sounds good.  For more info, head here.
New/recent releases on Triple J Unearthed from the Coast to add to your list this week - Transvaal Diamond Syndicate's 'Easily'Bearfoot's 'Could Be Worse' (which got a spin on JJJ Monday night), Adrian J's 'The Heartbreaker'Fang's 'Devour/Defile', and Jesse Taylor's 'Coastline'
Also, stoked to finally see The Quaker's release something to the public on to the big wild web. 'Your Sentiment' is now live up on Soundcloud, so take it all in here.
